Ok y'all, these seem to be the most popular web mails. Which one do you think wins? What bits do you favor and dislike about either? Do you like both of these over hotmail? Thanks in advance for the info.

I like gmail because it has free pop3 access whereas yahoo doesn't and hotmail stopped theirs. I just use my hotmail account for a messenger address, the same used to go for my yahoo before Miranda Messenger bit the big one and now I'm using MSN 7.5

Yahoo and hotmail charge for pop 3 access. Gmail's works quite well and now that they have implimented the word verification it's excellent.

Why do people want pop3 access?

Many people do not enjoy dealing with the web interface. It is much easier to use an E-Mail client such as outlook or outlook express or Eudora for that matter. If I can I prefer using pop access that way I can view my mail off line and reply and only go online to send. This is an efective stradigy when dealing with connection charges such as being on board a cruise ship. I used it when I took a 10 day cruse to the caribian and needed to chek on my fuzzy sun(Willie) back home.

Yahoo has actualy got free pop access. You just have to accept to get promotional emails but on the page where you check different types of emails to get if you don't check any they don't say anything and they never send any. I didn't try google yet but i would imagine is good and they give 2 gb not only 1 that yahoo gives.
